Train- the- facilitator workshop in Athens

This week, the leader of each of the case areas of the SEADITO project meet up in Athens, Greece – hosted my HCMR!

One of the objectives of this three day meeting was to train all the case study leaders in the workshop methodologies, to ensure that the results from the data collection across regions results in social data in the same format!

During these days, we produced a joint conceptual map on marine litter and challenges of this for the coastal area around Athens as an example. This was then developed into a fuzzy cognitive map (FCM), where each variable needed to be linked to an existing data set and where there needed to be variables included that could link the FCM to the European digital twin of the ocean (EDTO) to ensure that these are possible to combine!

Each case area was then divided into smaller groups for practical applications of the methodology, and presented the results to the group and the trainers, getting feedback on their work.

This training is critical since all case areas are holding workshops with their respective stakeholders this spring!
